Monster.com ties up with INPA for 2nd career pursuits of retired Navy veterans
Indian Navy Placement Agency (INPA) and online job portal Monster India have entered into an exclusive partnership to power the second career pursuits of retired Navy veterans.
Both the entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect.
Monster aims to list more than 1,000 job opportunities for the talent in the first 12 months in India, Middle-East and South East Asia and has a target of increasing this number to 2,000 opportunities by 2020, Monster.com said in a release.
The partnership will focus on identifying opportunities in sectors such as capital goods, IT, security, ITeS and MSMEs for the uniquely-skilled talent pool of INPA.
“We aim to assist retired Navy veterans with customised job opportunities in accordance with their skill set. Moreover, Monster India will regularly provide the candidates with job fairs, interview etiquette tips, career recommendations and actively tagging job seekers on its various platforms,” said Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO, Monster.com (APAC & Middle East).
The INPA pool consists of around 8,800 candidates across ranks, of which, majority are graduates and post-graduates and possess engineering and professional degrees such as MBA and LLB. The candidates are tech-savvy and their exposure to foreign navies and cities equip them with relevant skills for the corporate world.
“Our association with Monster India is to further strengthen the support INPA provides to the Navy veterans to identify second career opportunities,” said Vivek Karnavat, Principal Director Ex-Servicemen Affairs.
